KeyLogbook was initially designed by Keith Spires, Director of Equipe, who believed that there was a better way to record daily drilling logs and to give him more time to earn money on the controls and to pass the information on to his clients.

The Drilling Academy partnered with Keynetix, the UK's leading geotechnical software specialist, to develop KeyLogbook and have combined their areas of expertise to create a truly revolutionary solution.

KeyLogbook addresses all of the practical issues of capturing drilling data whilst working in a harsh environment.

The system comprises robust software and hardware which provides a workflow based interface designed around the driller to enable him/her to produce accurate, complete and fully compliant records. This alone saves time and money but other added advantages are being able to print fully legible labels on site, uniquely identifying each sample, producing AGS data at source and sending data immediately upon completion of the borehole or shift.

The system is fully portable but can also be mounted in the support vehicle or directly on to the rig.
