Geoenvironmental testing has become an important aspect of investigations and land quality management. It is often the critical path for projects as it may lead to expensive and sometimes long duration remediation and testing phases in the project.
Unlike geotechnical testing, geoenvironmental testing is intrinsically linked to environmental legislation and there are rafts of guidance and standards which seem to change all of the time. This course will look at the most up to date parts of legislation which need to be considered and how future changes may affect our attitude and choice of laboratory testing.
Topics on the agenda will include:
Environmental Sampling
The course will look at the typical testing which is currently being scheduled, the limitations of the testing and how external influences can affect how or why testing is carried out.
