How to Find Us

The Drilling Academy is located in an idyllic rural setting on the edge of the Cotswold Escarpment near Banbury, Oxfordshire and occupies a series of sympathetically restored farm buildings built from the local Marlstone.

The Drilling Academy also benefits from it's location as it occupies premises adjacent to one of the National Trust's most prized possessions, Upton House. Upton House is signposted from J11 and J12 of the M40, the A429 (Fosse Way) and the A422.

Instructions from the North 

At Junction 12 M40 take the B4451 Exit (Gaydon)
Turn left at the B4451 (Gaydon Rd) continue for 0.7 miles
At the roundabout take the 1st exit onto the B4100
Just past Kineton Airfield turn right toward the B4086 - sign posted Upton House
At the T Junction turn left at the B4086 (no sign here but you will be going up a steep hill) Follow the road through Edge Hill village
At the T Junction turn left at the A422 - signposted Upton House

After 300m turn right into Upton House car park - Follow the private road adjacent to the car park down the hill and to the right.

At the 5 bar electric gate - drive up and wait for The Drilling Academy staff to open it remotely. Continue past the barns on the right and into the car park  at the rear.

The Drilling Academy is on your right as you enter the courtyard on foot.


Instructions from the South 

At Junction 11 M40 take the A422 exit to Banbury(A361)
At the roundabout take the 1st exit onto A422 heading to Banbury/A361 - Go straight over the next 5 roundabouts (Tescos between 3 and 4 )
At the 6th roundabout take the 2nd exit onto the A422 (Warwick Rd) - Go straight over the 1st roundabout
Bear left at A422 (Stratford Rd) - Continue to follow the A422 passing through Wroxton following signs for Upton House

After 6.3 miles turn left into Upton House car park

Follow the private road adjacent to the car park down the hill and to the right.

At the 5 bar electric gate - drive up and wait for The Drilling Academy staff to open it remotely

Continue past the barns on the right and into the car park  at the rear

The Drilling Academy is on your right as you enter the courtyard on foot.
