Geotechnica - 27th and 28th August

Geotechnica was a brand new Technical Trade Show and Exhibition which celebrated all that is great and innovative within geotechnics and drilling and appealed to all sectors of the industry. The event was a great success story and those exhibiting and visiting were provided with two excellent days of networking, weather and education. 

Geotechnica was supported by stakeholders from all aspects of our industry and we hope has gone some way to helping bridge the gaps between academia and industry and consultants and contractors. It is the only UK technical trade show and exhibition which celebrates all sectors of the geotechnical world and we hope to continue it in 2010.

The Drilling Academy chose redr uk to be its charity for Geotechnica and a raffle was held. The winners of the raffle are provided on the supporting page but all staff at The Drilling Academy would like to thank Highland Spring for donating 500 bottles of water which were provided to visitors for a donation to the charity.

The Drilling Academy would also like to thank the HSE for providing invaluable guidance to the exhibitors with respect to rotary rig guarding. This has enabled manufacturers and contractors, such as Geotechnical Engineering, to modify their current guards to ensure compliance with the regulations.
