Introduction
Equipe was established in 2008 by three of the UK's leading senior managers in the field of geotechnics and drilling - Julian Lovell, Peter Reading and Keith Spires.
All three are passionate about the industry, they have dedicated their working lives to, and believed that it would greatly benefit from the availability of an independent, professional and comprehensive provider for vocational training , testing and continual assessment.
Equipe provides such a service and delivers it to all stakeholders in the industry from educational establishments i.e. schools, colleges and universities, through consultants and clients to contractors.

Equipe provides a professional, comprehensive and independent testing, training and assessment service covering geotechnics, laboratory testing and drilling which is delivered either from its base, The Drilling Academy, or from selected facilities throughout the UK and Ireland.

Equipe has partnered with some of the UK's leading consultants, suppliers and manufacturers such as Drillwell, Clear Solutions, ITM, MGS, and Soil Instruments. This allows us to ensure that the plant and equipment being demonstrated and trained on is state of the art and up to date. It also provides a unique window into new innovations and technologies which will enter into the market place.
Professional Memberships
Equipe also believes that it is important to be an integral part of the drilling and geotechnical community and therefore it's Directors are Fellows of the Geological Society of London (GS) and members of the British Geotechnical Association (BGA). Equipe is also a member of the Association of Geotechnical and Geoenvironmental Specialists (AGS).
Pete Reading is an Executive Committee member of the British Geotechnical Association.
Julian Lovell is an Executive Committee member of the AGS and representative of the AGS on the Safety Working Group of the British Drilling Association. He also Chairs the AGS Safety Working Group.
